Description
Let your slow cooker do the work for dinner. Just add add of the ingredients to the slow cooker, adding the pasta and cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking. It's a satisfying and delicious dinner for busy families.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 2 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 4 oz. cream cheese, cubed
- 4 T. unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. onion powder
- 1/2 t. Italian seasoning
- 1 lb. uncooked ziti pasta
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
- freshly chopped parsley, for serving
Steps
- Add chicken, heavy cream, chicken broth, cream cheese, butter and seasonings to a slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for 2 hours or until chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Remove chicken from the slow cooker; shred. Transfer back to the slow cooker; add the pasta and Parmesan cheese. Cook on HIGH for 30 minutes or until pasta is tender.
- When done, season with salt and pepper, to taste.
