Description
There's no need to go to the restaurant to enjoy this loved side dish. It's easy to prepare with a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time to serve to your loved ones.
Ingredients
32 oz. frozen shredded hash browns, thawed
3/4 c. melted butter
10 oz. can cream of chicken soup
1 pint sour cream
2/3 c. onion, finely chopped or grated
2 c. Colby cheese, grated, divided (or more if desired)
pinch black pepper

Thaw hasbrowns; drain, removing excess moisture.
Peheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 inch casserole dish.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, reserving about 1/2 c. cheese.
Transfer the mixture into the prepared casserole dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
Bake for 45 minutes until bubbly.
Serve hot.
9 servings.
*To make it vegetarian, use a can of cream of potato or cream of celery instead.
