This British classic makes a fantastic breakfast, brunch, dessert or snack. They're super delicious, easy and quick to make.
Ingredients
- Scones:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 T. baking powder
- 1/4 t. salt
- 1/2 c. cold butter, grated
- 1 large egg
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 c. mini chocolate chips
- 2 T. heavy cream, for brushing
- Icing:
- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 2 T. milk
- 1 t. vanilla extract
Steps
- Scones:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, use a large spoon to stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
