Perk up those boring Brussels sprouts with this recipe!
1 lb. Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 T olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 apple, diced
3/4 c. Heavy cream
3/4 c. Chopped walnuts
4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté garlic and onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and sauté about 3 minutes, and then add the apple and sauté for about 2 minutes. Stir in the cream and walnuts, and stir about 3 more minutes. Sprinkle bacon on top and serve.
