Perk up those boring Brussels sprouts with this recipe!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 T olive oil
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 apple, diced
- 3/4 c. Heavy cream
- 3/4 c. Chopped walnuts
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Steps
- Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté garlic and onion until tender, about 5 minutes. Add Brussels sprouts and sauté about 3 minutes, and then add the apple and sauté for about 2 minutes. Stir in the cream and walnuts, and stir about 3 more minutes. Sprinkle bacon on top and serve.
