Ingredients

• 1 box yellow cake mix or any flavor
• 1 stick butter, melted
• 2 large eggs
• 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
• 8 oz. brick of cream cheese, softened
• 16 oz. box powdered sugar, plus more for dusting on top, if desired
• 1 large egg

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x13" baking pan.
2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and 2 eggs until a thick batter forms. Fold in the chopped nuts. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 1 egg until smooth and creamy. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter in the pan, spreading it out evenly.
