Description

Ingredients

1 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. chopped mushrooms (fresh or canned)
1 small onion, diced
1 c. raw white rice
10.5 oz. can condensed cream of mushroom soup
2 c. beef broth
1/2 c. sour cream
1 t. garlic powder
salt and pepper, to taste
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, optional

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13" baking dish.

In a skillet, cook ground beef, mushrooms, and onion together until beef is browned; discard excess fat.

In a bowl, combine the beef mixture, raw rice, canned mushroom soup, beef broth, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture into the prepared baking dish; cover with aluminum foil.

Bake 50–60 minutes, until the rice is tender.

Remove foil; sprinkle on Cheddar cheese, if desired. Bake 5 minutes.

Serve.
