Warm weather calls for cool, delicious beverages. Whether enjoyed it poolside or at home, this frosted lemonade is simple to make and much more economical than the restaurant version.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice from about 6 large lemons
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. VERY cold water*
- 6 c. vanilla bean ice cream
- 4-5 drops yellow food coloring, optional
- 4 sliced lemons, optional garnish
Steps
- Add the lemon juice and sugar to a 7 to 8 c. blender; blend at low speed on either the milkshake or smoothie setting for 30-45 seconds. (This is a quick and easy way to dissolve and blend the lemon juice and sugar)
- While keeping the mixer at low speed on the milkshake or smoothie setting, drizzle in the water; blend for 10-15 seconds.
- Add the ice cream to the lemonade. With the lid secure, pulse on Low until the ice cream and lemonade are well blended.
