Description
This old school no-bake dessert is easy to make with store bought angel food cake, cherry pie filling, cream cheese. It's a beautiful dessert that's perfect for any kind of gathering.
Ingredients
- 12 oz. block cream cheese, at room temperature
- 3/4 c. powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/3 c. whole milk
- 1/2 t. vanilla extract
- 8 oz. frozen Cool Whip, thawed
- 15 oz. (9") store bought angel food cake, torn into 1" pieces
- 42 oz. (2 – 21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
Steps
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium-high speed to beat the cream cheese for 1-2 minutes or until light and fluffy and no lumps remain. Add the powdered sugar; beat until fully incorporated.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract; beat on medium speed until the cream cheese mixture is smooth and fluffy, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl.
- Fold the Cool Whip into the cream cheese mixture until no white streak remains and everything is fully incorporated.
