Get all ingredients ready for assembly.
Take out the ice cream once all other ingredients and supplies are set up.
Line up the cups. Place 1 t. peanuts in the bottom of each cup.
Place 2 small scoops of ice cream over the peanuts, pushing down with the back of a spoon to make an even layer.
Place several tablespoons of hot fudge in a ziplock bag or piping bag. Snip off a small corner of the bag. Pipe hot fudge around the edge of the ice cream.
Layer on 1 t. of peanuts.
Add 2 more small scoops of ice cream over the peanuts, flattening with the back of a spoon.
Pipe another round of hot fudge on the edge of the ice cream.
Sprinkle on 1 t. of peanuts.
Carefully place a popsicle stick in the center of each cup.
Place the cups on a quarter sheet pan that has been lined with wax paper. Place in the freezer for 2 hours to harden.
Prepare a deep bowl with cool water. (DO NOT USE WARM OR HOT WATER!!)
Remove cups from the freezer. Carefully dip 1 cup at a time in the bowl for about 10 seconds, not allowing any water get in the cup.
Carefully unmold the bars by gently pulling up on the popsicle stick.
Set the unmolded bars back on the sheet pan; repeat the process with the remaining cups.
Return the bars to the freezer to harden for a minimum of 2 hours or up to overnight.
When the bars are frozen solid, shake the Magic Shell well; pour 2 bottles of the Magic Shell into a medium deep bowl or a 4 cup measuring cup.
Working with 1 bar at a time, keeping the remaining bars in the freezer, dip the bar in the Magic shell until fully coated, allowing any excess to drip back into the bowl.
Place the coated bar back on the freezer tray to fully set while dipping the remaining bars.
The bars are ready to be enjoyed once the Magic Shell has hardened.
6 servings.
Store leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap in the freezer for up to 10 days.
Tips:
It's important to be organized. Read the recipe and instructions before starting.
Don’t overfill the cups or more Magic Shell will be needed. They won't be smooth and parts may not be fully coated.
Keep the ice cream as COLD as possible during assembly. Melted ice cream will cause problems in later steps and will not firm up properly.
Be sure that the bars are fully hardened before dipping or melted ice cream will drip into the Magic Shell and prevent a smooth finish.
