Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. salt
- 2 c. rolled oats
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease baking sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream together shortening and both sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in water and vanilla.
- Combine the flour, baking soda and salt together; gradually add to creamed mixture; mix well. Fold in oats.
