Description
These brownies are the fudgy-est, most chocolatey brownies ever and have the perfect balance of sweet, marshmallowy and fudgy decadence.
Ingredients
- Brownie Layer:
- 9 T. unsalted butter
- 6 oz. dark chocolate, chopped small
- 1 c. plus 2 T. granulated sugar
- 1/2 t. kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 t. pure vanilla extract
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- Marshmallow Layer:
- 3 c. mini-marshmallows
- Edible Brownie Batter Topping:
- 6 T. unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 t. pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 c. commercially heat treated all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. milk
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F; line an 8x8" baking pan with buttered parchment paper, leaving a little overhang.
- Brownie Layer:
- In a medium bowl, melt together the butter and dark chocolate; stir until well combined. (The double boiler method or microwave will work to melt the chocolate.)
