Description

Quick and traditional, this bread will be a sure hit at your St. Patrick’s Day party! Makes 2 loaves.

Ingredients

• 4 cups flour
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3 large eggs
• 2 cups sour cream
• 1 cup red raisins

Steps

1. Heat oven to 325 F (165 C). Prepare two standard loaf pans (grease lightly).
2. Combine together the flour, salt, sugar, baking soda and powder. Incorporate in all of the eggs, cream and red raisins, stirring sparingly. Place batter into pans and bake for one hour or until set.
