Ingredients

  • 1 (9 ounce) package Werther's Original Baking Caramels, unwrapped
  • 4 teaspoons milk, divided
  • 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 pound cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup apple pie filling
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream, divided

Steps

  1. 1. Set aside 4 caramels. Microwave remaining caramels with 3 teaspoons milk for 21/2 minutes in a microwave safe bowl on HIGH, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes. Pour caramel into crust; sprinkle with nuts.
  2. 2. Beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon in the bowl of an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth; stir in pie filling.
  3. 3. Beat 1 cup of heavy cream to form medium peaks. Fold into cream cheese mixture. Spread over caramel layer in crust. Chill for at least 4 hours.
