Chocolate, nuts and caramels are always a fantastic combination. Try this delicious, Double Chocolate & Caramel Turtle Trifle and they will soon become an all- time avorite for your friends and family.
1 recipe Lazy Day Brownies, chopped into bite sized pieces (see below)
1- 12 oz. jar Caramel Sauce
1 -12 oz. jar Hot Fudge Sauce
1 cu. heavy whipping cream
½ cu. powdered sugar
1 tbl. vanilla extract
1 cu. toasted pecans, chopped
Brownie ingredients:
1/2 cu. unsalted butter
1 cu. granulated sugar
1/2 cu. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tbl. vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1/2 cu. all- purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Brownie directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper,set aside.
Place butter in a large microwave safe bowl, melt completely. Add sugar, cocoa, vanilla and eggs. Whisk to combine well. Add remaining ingredients. Whisk until completely combined, but do not over mix.
Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting.
Whip heavy cream in a medium bowl using a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Whisk until soft peaks form. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Continue to whisk until whipped cream is firm, or to your desired consistency. Set aside.
Add ¼ cu. brownie bites to each trifle dish. Drizzle 1 tbl. hot fudge sauce over brownie.
Dollop 2 tbl. vanilla cream over top. Add 2 tbl. brownies and drizzle 1 tbl. caramel sauce over brownie. Sprinkle with pecans. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
