A dangerously dessert that is so good you will have to hide it if you want some for yourself! This winning cake has layers of bananas and coconut with a brown sugar sauce in every bite.
Ingredients
- 1 yellow cake mix
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 cu. oil
- 1/2 cu. sour cream
- 1/2 cu.water
- 6 bananas, sliced 1/4 inch thick
- 1 1/2 cu. shredded coconut
- 1 cu. brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cu. butter, divided
- 2 tbl. lemon juice
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees; grease 2 (8 inch) round cake pans.
- Beat cake mix, eggs, oil, water, and sour cream on low until combined then on high for 2 minutes.
- Place banana slices evenly on the bottom of the two cake pans.
