This tasty and saucy dish could be a meal or a side dish with its four types of beans, beef or turkey, and bacon.
1 lb. ground turkey or beef
2 large onions, chopped
3/4 lb. sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 cans (15 oz. each) pork and beans
1 bottle (18 oz.) honey barbecue sauce
1 can (16 oz.) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15-1/4 oz.) lima beans, rinsed and drained
1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cu. packed brown sugar
3 tbl. cider vinegar
1 tbl. Liquid Smoke
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
In a large skillet, cook beef and onions over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a 5-qt. Dutch oven. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour or until heated through.
