Put a little twist on your typical hot dogs and wrap them in bacon, then grill.
1- package hot dogs, your choice (cheese filled would be great)
an equal number of uncooked bacon strips to the number of hot dogs you have
2 toothpicks per hot dog, not the colored or cocktail style
Preheat grill to low (or build a low bed of coals on one side of the grill).
Wrap a piece of bacon around each hot dog, starting on an end, holding it in place with a toothpick skewered all the way through the bacon and hot dog, and spiraling it around the hot dog to the other end where another toothpick is pushed through to hold it in place. Repeat until all the hot dogs are wrapped in bacon.
Place the hot dogs on the hot, clean grill and let them cooking, turning and repositioning as necessary, until the bacon is chewy/crisp, or about 8 minutes. Be careful, flames might shoot up from grease!
Use condiments like ketchup, mustard, onions, cheese, relish or maybe even smotherthem in grilled pineapple and onions and hot sauce.
**An easy way to make multiple hot dogs: soak long bamboo skewers in water, then stab one all the way through 3-4 hot dogs on one end, leaving a little space in between each hot dog. Repeat on the other end. This makes it easy to turn all the hot dogs at once and cook them evenly, without the hot dogs rolling away from you!
