The toasted sesame seeds make this stir fry special!
1 bunch fresh broccoli (approximately 1 pound), rinsed
3 tablespoons sesame seed oil or vegetable oil
1 medium onion, cut into strips
1 clove garlic, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Toast sesame seeds:
Place sesame seed in wok; cook on high, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Remove from wok immediately to prevent burning.
Cut florets from broccoli and separate into bite-size pieces. Cut stalks into 1/4-inch slices. In wok, heat oil on high for 1 minute. Add broccoli stalks, onion, and garlic; stir-fry 1 to 2 minutes. Add broccoli florets and soy sauce; stir-fry 2 to 3 minutes. Garnish with sesame seeds; serve immediately.
