No-Bake Chocolate Cereal Bars

Description

Tired of eating the same old prepackaged desserts or cookies from the grocery store. Make these easy and delicious cereal bars. You don't even have to turn on the oven.

Ingredients

1/2 cu. sugar
1/2 cu. honey
3/4 cu. creamy peanut butter or almond butter
3/4 cu. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cu. corn flakes

Combine sugar, honey and peanut butter in a bowl and microwave for about 2 minutes, stirring every thirty seconds until smooth and liquefied. Add the chocolate and stir again until melted.

Add the cereal and stir to coat completely.

Transfer to a well-greased or parchment lined 6 inch square or 8 inch x 3 inch bread pan. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the pan. Chill in the refrigerator until firm, about 2-3 hours.

Slice into bars and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
