This is a hearty, delicious casserole that will satisfy your hunger. Is it easy to do and can be made in advance for company.
1 lb. mild ground pork sausage, cooked and drained
1 lb. hot ground pork sausage, cooked and drained or sausage of your choosing
1 -30 oz. package frozen hash browns or hash browns with onions and peppers
1 1/2 t. salt, divided
1/2 t. pepper
1 cu. shredded Cheddar cheese or your choice of shredded cheese
6 large eggs
2 cu. milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cook, crumble and drain sausages in a large skillet over medium-high heat until no longer pink.
Prepare hash browns according to package directions, using 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
Stir together hash browns, sausage, and cheese. Pour into a baking dish.
Whisk together eggs, milk, and remaining 1 t. salt. Pour evenly over potato mixture.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
