Red Velvet Cream Cheese Brownies

Description

Be careful when you make these brownies!. You, your family and friends will not be able to stop eating them! they are rich and delicious, so much so that they are sinful!

Ingredients

1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1/4 c.cocoa powder
1/4 t. sea salt
1 T. red food coloring
1 t. vinegar
2 eggs
3/4 c. flour

Cheese ingredients:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 t. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease an 8 x 8 baking pan.

Melt butter for about 1 minute in the microwave.

In mixer bowl, combine melted butter and sugar and mix, then add in vanilla, cocoa powder, and sea salt and continue mixing. Now add in red food coloring, vinegar, eggs, and flour. Continue mixing for 3-5 minutes tilll ingredients are incorporated and it is smooth.

Reserve 1/4 cup of the brownie mixture. Pour the remaining mixture into the baking pan. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract then beat until smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture over brownies and smooth it out.

Drop spoonfuls of the reserved brownie mixture and put over the top of the brownies. Using a toothpick or something with a pointy end, make swirls in the brownie mixture and cream cheese.

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick placed in the middle comes out clean. Brownies should cool completely before serving.
