Well, this lasagna isn't a main dish, but it is a great dessert to serve with the main dish. The cookie crust, chocolate and whipped topping layers are so decadent, you will have to hold back on how much you eat and save some for your family and friends!
1 pkg. oreo cookies -not double stuffed
6 T. butter, melted
1- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 T. cold milk
1-12 oz. container whipped topping, divided
2- 3.9 oz. pkg. instant chocolate pudding
3 1/4 c. cold milk
1 1/2 c. mini- chocolate chips
In a blender or a food processor, crush cookies into fine crumbs.
In a large bowl, use a fork to mix cookies with 6 tablespoons melted butter. When butter and cookies are mixed, transfer to a 9 x 13 inch pan/dish. Use a spatula to press down the crumbs into the bottom. Transfer the crust to the refrigerator while mixing the fillings.
Mix cream cheese until fluffy, add 2 tablespoons of milk and the sugar, and mix well. Stir in 1 ¼ cups whipped topping. Spread the mixture over the crust.
In a medium bowl, mix chocolate instant pudding with 3 ¼ cups cold milk. Whisk for a few minutes until the pudding starts to thicken. Spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer. Let stand for 10 minutes to firm up the pudding.
Spread remaining whipped topping over the top and top with mini- chocolate chips.
Freeze for 1 hour, or refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.
