Description
You can get the taste of German Chocolate Cake but without the time-consuming work with this pie. Have it ready to enjoy in 40 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, beaten with fork
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 1 t. vanilla extract
- 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell (if frozen, thaw completely and increase baking time)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. sweetened flaked coconut
- Cool Whip for topping, optional
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Combine sugar, eggs, flour, butter and vanilla extract in medium bowl. Stir in chocolate, pecans and coconut. Pour into pie shell.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
