You can get the taste of German Chocolate Cake but without the time-consuming work with this pie. Have it ready to enjoy in 40 minutes!
1 c. granulated sugar
2 large eggs, beaten with fork
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 t. vanilla extract
1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell (if frozen, thaw completely and increase baking time)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. sweetened flaked coconut
Cool Whip for topping, optional
Preheat oven to 350°.
Combine sugar, eggs, flour, butter and vanilla extract in medium bowl. Stir in chocolate, pecans and coconut. Pour into pie shell.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
Serve with Cool Whip, if desired.
