Want to make an easy meal in the slow-cooker, but you don't have all day to do it? Make this simple, delicious soup in just a little over two hours. Everyone will love it, and if you use a slow-cooker liner, clean up will be easier too!
Ingredients
- 1 T. olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 celery ribs, chopped
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 T. all-purpose flour
- 3 c. chicken stock, divided
- 1- 12 oz. can evaporated milk
- 1/2 t. paprika
- 1/2 t. garlic powder
- 1 1/2 T. Worchestershire sauce
- 1 T. yellow mustard
- 1/4 t. Kosher salt
- 1/8 t. black pepper
- 8 oz. cubed cheese, like Velveeta
- shredded cheddar cheese for topping, if desired
Steps
- Line slow cooker with a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic, onion and celery to skillet and cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Remove from skillet and place the vegetables in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In the same pan, brown hamburger. Drain, add meat to the slow cooker.
