This is a wonderful breakfast casserole that many Southerners enjoy. It will be a big hit in your household too when you make it for breakfast or brunch or maybe even dinner!
1 lb. sausage
1 1/2 oz. pork gravy mix-1 pkg. Pioneer Brand Peppered Sausage Gravy Mix or similar
1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
6 eggs
1/2 c. milk
salt, to taste
black pepper, to taste
1- 8 oz. can biscuits, like Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Spray a 9x13 pan with oil. Line the bottom of the pan with the biscuits cut into 1 inch pieces. Brown sausage, drain and scatter over biscuits. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Whisk eggs and milk with a pinch of salt and pepper, pour it over the pan. Make pork gravy per package directions, pour over mixture.
Bake about 30-45 minutes.
