Description
This is a wonderful breakfast casserole that many Southerners enjoy. It will be a big hit in your household too when you make it for breakfast or brunch or maybe even dinner!
Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 1/2 oz. pork gravy mix-1 pkg. Pioneer Brand Peppered Sausage Gravy Mix or similar
- 1 c. cheddar cheese, shredded
- 6 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
- salt, to taste
- black pepper, to taste
- 1- 8 oz. can biscuits, like Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray a 9x13 pan with oil. Line the bottom of the pan with the biscuits cut into 1 inch pieces. Brown sausage, drain and scatter over biscuits. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Whisk eggs and milk with a pinch of salt and pepper, pour it over the pan. Make pork gravy per package directions, pour over mixture.
- Bake about 30-45 minutes.
