Make these little appetizers for your next party or holiday and you will make your guests very happy. Bake them until they are crispy. The amount of time will depend on your oven. The mixture seems a little soupy at first, but turns into a heavenly glaze
1 lb. bacon, cut Into thirds
1 lb. Lil’ Smokies sausages
1 stick butter
2 c. brown sugar
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cut bacon into thirds and wrap each smokie. Place wrapped smokies in a single layer in a baking dish with sides.
Melt butter and then add 1 cup brown sugar and stir until mixed well. Pour the butter and brown sugar mixture on smokies. Sprinkle last cup brown sugar over the smokies.
Bake 15 minutes, turn the heat up to 400 degrees for about 10-20 minutes until the bacon becomes crispy.
