No one makes homemade pudding anymore. It's just too easy to go to the supermarket and buy a readymade package. But, the taste is definitely better when it is homemade and not ready made.

Ingredients

• 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate
• 3 T. cocoa powder
• 3 T. cornstarch
• 1/4 t. salt
• 1 c. heavy cream
• 3 large egg yolks
• 2 1/2 c. whole or 2% milk
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 1 t. vanilla extract

Steps

1. Use a serrated knife to chop the chocolate into fine flakes. Set aside.
2. In a large heatproof bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Slowly whisk in the cream, a little at a time, until you have a smooth mixture.
3. Whisk the eggs into the cream and cornstarch mixture.
