Make your appetizer meatballs a little spicy and cheesy with this wonderfully simple recipe. Feed a crowd at your next party.
1 lb. spicy pork sausage (in a roll)
10 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
3 c. Bisquick or self-rising flour
Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Using a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, combine sausage, cheese and baking mix and beat on low speed until well blended. Add salt and pepper to taste. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls using an ice cream scoop, and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until browned, about 20 minutes.
Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with salt and serve hot, warm or at room temperature.
