Make this festive holiday dessert for your special dinner or party. This yummy pistachio pudding and shortbread treat can be garnished especially customed for the holiday by changing the color of the sprinkles or the candy toppings!
1- 13 oz. pkg. shortbread cookies
4 T. butter, melted
2 - 3.4 oz. boxes instant pistachio pudding
2¾ c. whole milk
1- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c.powdered sugar
2 small cartons Cool Whip, divided
green and red M&Ms or sprinkles
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Finely crush shortbread cookies in a ziploc bag. Put crumbs in melted butter and press into a 9x13 pan. Bake about 10 minutes until golden. Let cool.
Smooth together cream cheese, sugar and 2 cups Cool Whip. Pour an even layer over crushed cookie crust.
Mix milk and pudding mix together until thick. Pour over cream cheese layer.
Spread remaining Cool Whip over the top and refrigerate.
Garnish with sprinkles or M&Ms.
