Ingredients
- 2 c. dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 c unsalted butter
- 1 t. salt
- 1/2 t. ground nutmeg
- 1 pinch ground allspice
- 5 whole cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 vanilla bean
- 8 c. hot water
- 2 c. rum
- whipped cream
- ground nutmeg
- ground cinnamon
Steps
- Place a slow cooker liner in the slow cooker for easy clean up.
- In the slow cooker, mix all ingredients except rum. Cover; cook on Low heat setting about 5 hours or until warm. Stir in rum.
- Serve in glasses or mugs topped with whipped cream and sprinkled with ground nutmeg and cinnamon.
