Enjoy this restaurant quality fried chicken in the comfort of your own home. You don't need a deep fryer, just a skillet, ingredients and a little time to make this delicious meat dish.
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 3 beaten eggs
- 4 T. oil
- Coating:
- 2 c. flour
- 4 t. paprika
- 2 1/2 t. salt
- 1 t. pepper
- 1 t. poultry seasoning
- 1 t. thyme
- 1 t. oregano
- 1 t. tarragon
- 1/2 t. garlic salt
- 1/2 t. onion salt
- 1/2 t. celery salt
- ketchup, optional
Steps
- Sift together all coating ingredients; place in a clean ziploc bag. Coat each chicken piece first with beaten egg, then with flour mixture in the bag. Be sure to coat each piece completely with the flour mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet. Brown chicken in oil slowly, uncovered. When browned, cover the skillet and keeping frying on a very low heat until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Place on paper towels to drain off the excess oil.
