Needing a special cookie for that special somebody? You will find it with this tasty dessert. Filling these with white chocolate chips, strawberry craisins, and dried cranberries makes this a delicious recipe.
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. butter, salted, at room temperature
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
1 t. vanilla
2 1/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
1 t. baking soda
1 1/2 c. white chocolate chips
1 c. dried strawberry flavored craisins
1/2 c. dried cranberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a standing mixer, beat Crisco, butter and sugars until light and fluffy for about 10 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
In a medium sized bowl, combine flour and baking soda; whisk. Slowly add flour mixture to creamed mixture.
Stir in white chocolate chips, dried strawberry craisins and dried cranberries.
Shape cookie dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 12 minutes or until the edges are slightly brown. Remove cookies from oven and cool on baking sheet for 1-2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Store in a sealed container or freeze in gallon sized Ziplock bags for later use.
