Everyone will get their own individual apple pies with these apple pie fries. The kids will love them and you will love the ease of making them and how delicious they are.
1 pkg. refrigerated pie crust
1 1/2 c. apple pie filling
1 egg
sugar
dip: caramel sauce or ice cream
Chop up the pie filling the best that you can.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Unroll each crust and spread the filling onto one of them, leaving a 1/8 inch border around the edge.
Put the other pie crust on the top and press lightly to secure it.
Make the egg wash by mixing the egg with a splash of water.
Brush egg wash on the top, and then sprinkle it with the sugar “salt".
Cut strips about 1/2 inch thick, and then cut those into fry shapes.
Place carefully onto a baking sheet. Bake for about 12 minutes, or until they are slightly golden and firm.
Serve with caramel for dipping.
