Description
This wonderfully delicious salad involves no cooking and just a small amount of time to prepare. It will be a definite hit at any gathering that you bring it to or at home for the family.
Ingredients
- 2 large bunches of broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 c. mayonnaise or Miracle Whip
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1⁄2 c. sugar
- 1⁄2 t. salt
- 1⁄2 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, Gouda or your favorite cheese
- 1 c. cherry tomatoes, halved, optional
- 1-2 small shallots, sliced (or red/purple onion), optional
- sunflower seeds, for garnish, optional
Steps
- Combine broccoli and cauliflower in large bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine the mayo, sour cream, sugar and salt to make a dressing.
- Add the dressing to the veggie mix, stirring to evenly coat the veggies.
