Enjoy these cream cheese rolls for breakfast, snack time or dessert. They are simple to make and delicious.
20 slices white bread, crusts removed
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
½-3/4 t. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1½- 2 t. ground cinnamon
⅔ c. butter, melted
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with a little non-stick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
Remove crusts from all sides of the bread. Roll out each slice of bread until flattened.
Beat cream cheese, vanilla and ¼ cup sugar in a medium sized bowl.
Combine remaining ¾ cup sugar and cinnamon in a small sized bowl, and set aside.
Divide cream cheese mixture and spread about 1 T. on each slice of bread.
Roll up each slice of bread. Dip each roll in the melted butter until they are fully covered. Roll each piece in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Set each roll seam-side down, on a baking sheet.
Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until the rolls start to puff up.
Serve warm.
