If you need a break from the traditional side dish, make this wonderful mushroom bake. It is also low-carb!
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
3 T. butter
3/4 t. seasoning salt
2 T. whipping cream
1 t. dried parsley
1/4 t. black pepper
3/4 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large frying pan with a lid that is slightly ajar, fry mushrooms in butter over medium heat until soft. Keep cooking until the water evaporates. Remove lid of pan.
Add seasoning salt; stir fry until mushrooms are nice and brown.
Add whipping cream, parsley and black pepper. Simmer over low heat until whipping cream reduces a little.
Arrange mushrooms in shallow casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
