This meatloaf is delicious and juicy. It is a comforting dish that is even better when served with mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable!
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
3 garlic cloves, minced
3 T. chopped parsley
salt, to taste
1 t. white pepper or black pepper
1 1/2 t. chilli powder
1/2 c. milk
3/4 c. bread crumbs, plain or Italian style
1 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
3/4 c. spaghetti, BBQ or tomato sauce
4-6 strips bacon, optional
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray 2 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mix meats with all the ingredients except the tomato/spaghetti sauce.
Place the meat mixture in the loaf pans; top with tomato sauce. Place 2 strips of bacon across each loaf, if desired.
Bake about 1 to 1 hour 15 minutes or until done.
