Homemade ranch dressing tastes so much better and is healthier for you than the store-bought dressings. Just use quality ingredients for the freshest and the best taste. Use as a salad dressing, dip or even in potato salad.
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. mayonnaise
3 T. sour cream
1 t. finely chopped fresh tarragon, dill, or celery leaves or a combination
3 T. finely chopped Italian parsley
2 T. finely chopped chives
4 t. white wine vinegar or lemon juice
1-2 medium garlic cloves, finely chopped
1/2 t. salt, plus more if needed
1/8 t. freshly ground black pepper, plus more if needed
Shake the buttermilk well.
Place all ingredients in a 2 cup jar or container with a tight fitting lid. Seal lid tightly; shake to mix all ingredients.
Taste and season with additional salt and pepper as needed.
Refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
Serve. Leftovers will last up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
