Description

This is a simple cake to make. It doesn't take much time or effort but the results are over the top!

Ingredients

• 1 c. sugar
• 1/2 c. butter
• 2 eggs
• 8 oz. sour cream
• 1 t. vanilla
• 2 c. flour
• 1 t. soda
• 1 t. baking powder
• 1/2 c. milk
• 1 can cherry pie filling
• 1/4 c. sugar
• 1/2 t. cinnamon
• 1/2 c. sliced almonds or nuts of your choice, optional

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease an angel food pan.
2. Cream sugar and butter together. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
3. Combine the flour, soda, and baking powder. Add it to the batter alternately with the milk.
