Kids and adults will enjoy this Italian treat. It's great to serve anytime of the year, but it really hits the spot on a hot summer day!
Ingredients
- 1 qt. water
- 2 c. sugar
- 3⁄4 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 grated lemon rind, with no white parts
Steps
- Boil water and sugar together for 5 minutes. Cool.
- Stir in lemon juice and the peel. Pour contents into a shallow bowl; put in the freezer.
- As it starts to freeze, keep stirring the outside crystals into the center; mix in peel.
