Description

Kids and adults will enjoy this Italian treat. It's great to serve anytime of the year, but it really hits the spot on a hot summer day!

Ingredients

• 1 qt. water
• 2 c. sugar
• 3⁄4 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 grated lemon rind, with no white parts

Steps

1. Boil water and sugar together for 5 minutes. Cool.
2. Stir in lemon juice and the peel. Pour contents into a shallow bowl; put in the freezer.
3. As it starts to freeze, keep stirring the outside crystals into the center; mix in peel.
