Salty and Savory Saltines

Description

These savory crackers make a great appetizer or in soups and salads, as well. If you can't find mini-saltines, use oyster crackers or regular saltines instead.

Ingredients

  • 1 t. garlic powder
  • 1 t. onion powder
  • ½ t. dried dill
  • 1 t. dried parsley
  • ¼ t. dried thyme
  • ¼ t. dried basil
  • ¼ t. salt
  • 1 t. Dijon mustard
  • 1 T. canola oil
  • 11 oz. mini-saltines (oyster crackers could be used as well)

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Mix all ingredients together except for the crackers in a large bowl. Using your hands, fully coat the crackers with the oil and dried herbs.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a large baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes; remove the tray from the oven. Crackers will get crispier as they cool. Let them cool a little before serving.
