Description
If you need a fast, economical meal then this casserole is for you. You can have it ready in a little over 30 minutes on those rushed weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 t. garlic salt
- salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 15 oz. can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. package wide egg noodles, uncooked
- ¾ c. sour cream
- 1 c. small curd cottage cheese
- ½ c. green onions, finely diced
- 1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Cook egg noodles according to directions on packae. Rinse noodles in cold water; drain.
- While noodles are cooking, brown ground beef; add garlic salt, salt and pepper. Drain grease off of meat; pour in tomato sauce; simmer over low heat 5 minutes.
