Your family, but especially your children will love this quick and delicious casserole. Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
32 oz. frozen hash brown patties
1 onion, diced
salt and pepper, to taste
garlic powder, to taste, optional
1 lb. browned hamburger
15 oz. canned peas, drained or 10 oz. peas (frozen)
1 c. milk
10 3/4 oz. canned cream of mushroom soup
8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
2 7/8 oz. canned French-fried onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 9×13-inch pan.
Cook hamburger and onion together; drain off grease and discard.
Cover the bottom of the pan with the hash brown patties. Add hamburger and onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle peas on top.
Mix soup and milk together; pour over peas. Top with cheese. Cover with foil; bake 1 hour.
Sprinkle with French fried onions; return to oven for ten more minutes.
