Description
This is a fantastic recipe for you when you want a comforting and satisfying meal that is easy to make. The trick to getting the dumplings is DO NOT STIR!
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded (rotisserie chicken is fine)
- 2 c. chicken broth/stock
- ½ stick butter
- 2 c. Bisquick
- 2 c. whole milk
- 1 can cream chicken soup
- 3 t. chicken granules
- ½ t. dried sage
- 1 t. black pepper
- ½ t. salt or to taste
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a 9 x 13 casserole dish, melt 1/2 stick butter. Spread the shredded chicken over the butter; sprinkle black pepper and dried sage over this layer. Do not stir.
- In small bowl, mix milk and Bisquick; slowly pour all over chicken. Do not stir.
