Description

This great cake can be tailored to fit the occasion that you are celebrating. Serve with your favorite ice cream, if desired.

Ingredients

• 1 - 2 layer size devil's food cake mix
• 1- 4 oz. pkg. semi-sweet baking chocolate
• 1/4 c. butter
• 1- 8 oz. pkg. brick type cream cheese, softened
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 2 c. thawed whipped topping
• 12 Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed
• 1 or 2 tubes 4.25 oz. white decorating icing

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Prepare cake batter and bake in two 9-inch round pans as directed on package, about 24-29 minutes. Cool cakes in pans 10 minutes. Invert onto wire racks; gently remove pans. Cool cakes completely.
3. Microwave chocolate and butter together in a medium microwaveable bowl on High 45 seconds to 1 minute or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Cool 5 minutes.
