Change up your boring side dish potatoes tonight with these yummy potatoes.In no time at all you can have a wonderful dish with a few ingredients that you may already have in your pantry.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme, plus more to finish
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 t. freshly grated nutmeg
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- unsalted butter
- 2 lb. russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/8-inch-thick slices
- salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan, plus more for broiling
Steps
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a saucepan, heat up the cream with the bay leaves, thyme, garlic, nutmeg and salt and pepper, to taste.
- While the cream is heating, butter a casserole dish. Use a slotted spoon to remove the bay leaves and thyme.
