These appetizing cheese sticks combine 2 favorites-cheese and bacon. Dip them in Ranch dressing and you have an appetizer that everyone will want, so be sure to make enough.
1 lb. bacon-2 strips for each mozzarella stick
about 6 mozzarella cheese sticks
canola oil, il for frying
Ranch dressing for dipping
wooden toothpicks
Freeze the cheese for several hours.
Lay out a bacon slice; place a frozen cheese stick on it, pulling up the bacon ends to cover each end of cheese.
Wrap another bacon slice around the cheese stick, using it to secure the first bacon slice. Use a wooden toothpick to secure the bacon while frying.
Fry in hot 350 degree oil until crispy and golden, about 2-3 minutes; cool on a paper towel lined plater/platter.
Serve with Ranch dressing.
