This is definitely an adult dessert. Serve it for your next special dinner or get together. It is not only beautiful, but delicious as well.
cheesecake layer:
16 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
4 T. Baileys Irish Cream
whipped cream and cookies:
1 c. heavy whipping cream, cold
2 T. Baileys Irish Cream
1 1/2 T. cocoa
3 T. powdered sugar
15 Oreo cookies, crushed
Beat cream cheese, sugar and cocoa together in a bowl until smooth.
Add Baileys; mix; set aside.
In another bowl, whip heavy whipping cream until it starts to thicken. Add Baileys, cocoa and powdered sugar; continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
Trifles:
Divide 1/2 of the cookie crumbs evenly between four 8 oz. cups or jars; spread evenly on the bottom of the cups.
Evenly pipe or spoon cheesecake filling on top of the cookie crumbs in each cup. Half of the filling should remain.
Evenly pipe or spoon whipped cream on top of the cheesecake filling in each cup.
Divide remaining cookie crumbs between the cups; evenly distribute the 2nd layer of crumbs on top of the whipped cream. Reserve a little bit of crumbs, for garnish.
Evenly pipe or spoon remaining cheesecake filling on top of cookie crumbs in each cup.
Top each with whipped cream; garnish with cookie crumbs.
Refrigerate until ready to serve, removing them 15 minutes prior to serving.
