Cupcakes are a great treat but making them in ice cream cones takes them to a higher level. Kids will light up when they see these wonderful cupcakes.
1 box party rainbow chip cake mix or your choice of flavor
water
vegetable oil
eggs called for on cake mix box
24 flat bottomed ice cream cones
1- 2 containers Rich & Creamy frosting, or your choice of flavor
Heat oven to 350 degrees or 325 degrees for dark or non-stick pans.
Make cake batter as directed on box.
Divide batter evenly among 24 ice cream cones that are each set into a muffin cup.
Bake 16 - 22 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.
Generously frost cupcake with frosting, and decorate as desired.
Store loosely covered.
**Decorate as desired with sprinkles and perhaps a maraschino cherry on top.
